COMPLIMENTING DIGITAL LITERACY


An examination of the digital literacy program, show that digital literacy program is involved in increasing awareness of digital systems such as user devices, networking equipment and the architect of the computer as the basis for  the information and communication technology system which used to automate the process of data collection, information processing, intelligence analysis and generation and production decision support reports. This way Sodess will be complimenting the objectives and goals of DLP.

Digital literacy is the ability to use technology effectively for learning and communication. I believe that digital literacy skills are essential for today’s students because they will be using technology throughout their lives. Sodess is providing a purpose for learning the digital literacy skills by pointing out the opportunities dIn my last position, I used digital literacy skills with my students by teaching them how to use different types of software and apps to complete assignments and communicate with each other.”We on a mission to provide learning for a purpose, learning by doing, learning from an example and learning as you earn. DECISION SUPPORT SCIENCE

Sodess main objective is to get participants appreciate that Decision Support Science involves Collection of Data, processing the Data into Information, Analysing the information to gain intelligence insights and then producing or generating reports or documents that are for use in making smart decisions regardless of whether process is manual or automated by technology.

Infact we learned to collect data, process information, analyse the the intelligence and produce reports wayback when we were in standard 5 in primary school. You remember when we went for excursions to the animal rangeland and collected data on the animals that we say, then on the weekend we made mande information tables charts and then on monday we handed our results to the trip teacher to combine and produce a report that was used to predict the effects of human encroachment to the habitat of the animals.

Technology only automated this process, And as long as we remember this, it will be easy to learn the systems and services that are used and make learning digital technology and science easier because we have a purpose.

Sodess will compliment the supplement the competency based education curriculum for dital technology and compliment the digital literacy programs in not only primary and secondary echools but also in institutions of higher learning including technical and vocational training colleges.

While digital literacy is concerned with the ability of learners to utilize and describe digital devices and systems, The Solution Decision Support Science (Sodess) goes a bit further in that, it tries to link this knowledge to industry by giving real and purposeful examples on how it is used in practicalizing the outcomes. It tries to supplement the goals and objectives envisioned in the competency based education (CBE) including communication and collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, imagination and creativity and learning to learn.

A close examination of the subjects taught throughout and allway from pre-primary, primary, junior and senior level of education will notice an emphasis and illustration of commitment to  awareness of the roles and influence digital literacy to learning in general and as specific subjects in the curriculum in particular. In addition, the government and the worldbank have introduced a digital literacy programme to accelerate the adaption and integration of digital technology awareness and knowledge into learning and industry at large.

 

CisoNet is supplementing the digital literacy program, education and ICT learning in particular with an approach that helps in transforming learners into productive members in the industry. This approach heavily borrows from the natural way of making smart decisions and wise choices recognizing that regardless of whether the method is manual or automated, it must adhere to requirements of collecting credible data, facts or evidence, then processing that data into credible and quality information and knowledge, then analysing the information and knowledge into intelligent insights and a considered understand and then generation and producing reports and documentation for consideration in making smart decisions and wise choices that address humidity needs for food and health, trade and infrastructure as well as governance, security and safety.
